Issue
Indonesia has a tropical climate with no distinct seasons. Monsoons affect precipitation patterns: the north from July to September, and the south in December, January, and February. Jakarta’s terrain is high in the south, low in the north, with 10 rivers flowing through. To prevent soil erosion and flooding, a local infiltration system is needed. A customer made a drainage scheme for the government using modular water tanks and protective drainage products.
Solution
Geotextile fabric protects and drains effectively. A customer inquired about a 150gsm geo filter for their drainage system. Considering cost and purpose, we recommended high-value polyester staple fiber and filament geotextiles. We provided performance data showing clear drainage advantages. To save space, we suggested adding 2m-wide rolls to fill the container, reducing costs. The customer agreed, appreciating our expertise.
