The needle punch nonwoven geotextile fabric, also known as short fiber non woven geotextile fabric, is the widely used geotextile for many civil engineering projects such as roads, harbors, reservoirs, canals, dams and many others retaining construction to improve soil stability, provide erosion control or aid in drainage. The non woven geotextile fabric usually includes PET/PP short fiber geotextile and filament geotextile fabric. Especially PP short fiber non woven geotextile usually can be divided into normal PP and high PP geotextile, which has different properties to support areas during road repair, road construction and stabilization applications.
BPM has been dedicated to manufacturing and supplying high quality such geotextile products as PET/PP short fiber needle punched nonwoven geotextile fabric and PP/PET Filament continuous geotextile fabric since in 2010. We had been kept on investing in technological innovation and product optimization. Cooperated with domestic famous universities like Shandong University and Shandong Construction University in the research and development of manufacturing process, automatic control optimization and total quality assurance system. We have strong competitive advantages in geotextiles, geomembranes, geogrids and had become the leading geotextile and geosynthetics solution brand in China.
BPM client is from Myanmar, he got a project located in Rangoon, the former capital of Myanmar. It is the largest city of Myanmar and the capital of Rangoon province. It is located in the Irrawaddy River Delta in the south of Myanmar, covering an area of 598 square kilometers. Yangon belongs to tropical monsoon climate, which is sunny and rainy in half a year. Moreover, the soil of Yangon is fertile alluvial soil, which is easy to be eroded by rain in rainy season, resulting in soil erosion. The north of Yangon is Yangon mountain, which is prone to landslides and debris flows in rainy season. As a large engineering and construction company in Yangon, the client company has contracted a large part of slope protection and construction projects in local area.
High PP short fiber geotextile has good high strength, acid alkali and corrosion resistant properties, it is widely used in Myanmar using for laying geotextile for slope protection under grouted rip rap. Wraping the gabion box, and filter drain (sand&gravel mixture) as filter. It has become one of the indispensable materials.
In the north of Yangon is the Yangon mountain. Although the mountain is not very high, it is easy to have faults and landslides at the bottom of the mountain due to the loose soil and rain erosion in rainy season. In order to prevent further disasters, the local government gave the project to BPM customers and asked them to complete slope protection as soon as possible. After receiving the project, the clients will start to purchase the required geosynthetics products according to the engineering design, and immediately found us to inquire the geotextile fabric information. BPM customers required geotextile grab strength 1400kN/m, CBR 4000N, both side thermally bonded. After testing the grad strength of BPM geotextile, we recommend 350g high-strength polypropylene needle punch nonwoven geotextile for customers. Its unique high-strength acid and alkali resistance and corrosion resistance are particularly suitable for slope protection.
The design of slope is not simply covered with geotextile. Firstly, the garbon box with stones is filled and then the gabion box is stacked on the mountain fault. In the process of stacking gabion box, the PP needle punch nonwoven geotextile fabric is often used to protect the bottom layer and inner layer of each gabion box (at the junction with the mountain fault), and wrap the gabion box to the greatest extent. Polypropylene needle punch nonwoven geotextile has good air permeability and water absorption, so as to cut off the outflow of gravel soil reasonably. It also has good water conductivity, it can generate a safe drainage channel in the sand, and discharge unnecessary liquid and vapor in the sand structure. The gabion mesh filled with stones can prevent the further occurrence of faults, while the geotextile has good filtration and protection performance. The use of needle punch nonwoven geotextile can improve the compressive strength and deformation resistance of sand, improve the stability of building structure, and improve the quality of sand. Reasonable concentration of in-situ stress diffusion, transmission or dissolution, to avoid sand damage by external forces, effectively prevent soil erosion, landslides, debris flow and other phenomena.
The typical PP non woven geotextile fabric features are high tensile strength and puncture resistance. Due to use of plastic fiber that makes it in dry and wet state can maintain sufficient strength and elongation. And it also has good acid and alkali resistance, in different pH soil and water can be long-term corrosion resistance. The high PP nonwoven geotextile has good anti microbial property and is not damaged by microorganism and insect. In addition, it also has good water permeability.
Needle Punch Nonwoven Fabric for Other Construction Projects in Myanmar
There are also many construction work in Yangon. In the construction engineering, after the foundation is laid, the geotextile is usually laid on the bottom layer to isolate the upper and lower layers of sand, sand and concrete. Moreover, the hole ring of geotextile is not easy to block. The porous structure produced by the clay filled connective tissue has the characteristics of strain rate and independent movement. And high water absorption, under the working pressure of soil and water, it can still maintain stable water absorption. Customers require to use 300g both side thermally bonded PP geotextile. The thermally bonding process will make the surface of geotextile smoother and more conducive to construction. The upper layer of geotextile is grouted and fixed with cement. High strength geotextile is made of chemical fibers such as polypropylene cloth, which is corrosion-resistant, corrosion-free, insect free and anti-oxidation. Moreover, the relative density of polypropylene geotextile is smaller than that of all synthetic fibers, which is about 0.91g/cm3. Therefore, the weight of polypropylene geotextile fiber is extremely light, and the area covered by the fiber per unit weight is large. Therefore, the geotextile is soft and easy to construct, with high cost performance ratio, which plays an important role in engineering construction.
There are also other usage like this in Myanmar. We have already supply the geotextile to customer for two years. Now BPM high quality and good price PP thermally bonded geotextile are very popular there. More and more customers from Myanmar want to use this geotextile. If you also working on this type project, please welcome to contact us .
