BPM Philippines customer wanted to buy our PP nonwoven geotextile as the bottom layer for road coal ash pond, and the HDPE geomembrane liner is installed on the upper layer as the anti seepage system. We recommended 100% virgin polypropylene nonwoven geotextile 600gsm rather than PET nonwoven fabrics ,several reason can convince client to select PP not PET geotextile, PP geotextile fabric features good acid and alkali resistance.The coal ash has variety chemical element so alkali and acid resistance is more important.In this pond,our BPM 1.5mm HDPE geomembrane was also applied in this project as waterproof base, one function of high strength geotextile fabric is protection for geomembrane to prevent it from scratch or improper handling and greatly extend the geomembrane lifespan.The 600gsm PP geotextile with deep thickness also has good separation and filtration performance. The use of PP nonwoven geotextiles enhances the deformation resistance of the pond and enhances the stability of the building structure to improve the quality of the soil.
